Roshni India Printing Rollers Pvt Ltd is Italian company manufacturing printing rollers which caters to flexographic, rotogravure and offset printing industry. They use C45 and EN8 material in their manufacturing of rollers. Our role was to heat these two material 400°C to 500°C temperature using Induction Heating. Weight of the material I around 40Kg. As you see from the VDO the roller is surrounded by coil which heats the roller up to the mentioned temperature. Upon reaching to the roller to red hot condition, the water is spread on the roller for hardening.
To maintain the mechanical properties associated with crystalline object same, if it is heated
in the process, rapid cooling of the work piece is carried out which is termed as quenching.
The work piece is heated above 800°C and suddenly cooled by immersing it in water or oil.
