- Rubber Curing
This process is also known as Vulcanization, is a set of processes for hardening the rubber.
Natural rubber is treated with sulphur which is now extended to include hardening of other
synthetic rubber. In the process of Vulcanization, the rubber mass is heated between 170°C
and 200°C. The heating is done externally and internally. Conventionally, this heating process
is being carried out either by steam or any other fossil fuel.
Eltech has introduced Induction Heating as a source for this process which is cost effective and Eco friendly. The platens on the press are modified and the induction coils are placed around the cavities. The Electromagnetic field generated by the HF convertor is when cut by
rubber mass, it gets heated to desired temperature.
Advantages :
- Reduces the cost by 30%
- Does not affect ambient temperature
- No carbon emission in the environment
Applications :
- Wide range of rubber product manufacturing
- Tyre manufacturing
- Medical devices
- Flouring & roofing
